Skjærbrygga is an excellent way station and a natural base-camp for experiencing Lofoten in the best possible way. We are in Stamsund in the centre of Lofoten, idyllically placed for both westbound and eastbound trips.

Right at the water's edge is the wharf that was first built in 1845. It has been the scene of various activities, including steam ship expeditions, and the receipt and processing of saltfish/dried fish. Earlier the skerry was also packed with racks for hanging fish.
